There is no question that when people share a new experience or work together to tackle a problem or conquer challenges together, team spirits are strengthened, and relationships are enhanced. As a team that consists of people from distinctive cultural backgrounds and keeps growing towards a more diverse and dynamic direction, admittedly, the need for a shared mindset, supportive atmosphere, and internal cohesion shall be prioritized.

Echoing with open, dynamic, and aspiring Bassetti culture since Day 1, Bassetti China Family had a temporary escape from the hustle and bustle to the peaceful outskirt of Shanghai last week. Every member has indulged themselves with some extraordinary moments in the world of still lakes, green trees, and the wind's rustling while pushing at frontiers between us and nature.

Paddling a kayak, for many city dwellers like most Bassetti members, in particular, was a whole new experience. In the beginning, it is always ruled no.1: Safety First, professional coaches told us to wear life jackets and stay calm if anyone happens to fear water. After grasping the kayak's fundamental kayaking strokes, such as holding a kayak paddle and controlling the direction correctly. Groggy as the boats might be, the lurches never succeeded in killing our excitement. With drifting along the lake with a water gun installed on each 2-person-kayak, unavoidable leisure water fight could make one wondering we are friend or foe while every team may come into the realization that we are finally on the same boat.

However, as we paddled towards the middle of the lake, a sudden shower unexpectedly visited us. Instead of being defeated by the weather and retreat, we initiated a kayaking race around a small island, paddling towards the precise direction and constantly support and encourage each other though in the context of competition. Completely drenched by the rain, we would call it a momentous day!

This team-building was awesome fun that showcased Bassetti China's strong team spirit and allowed us to expect the unexpected, share pleasant memories with touches of laughter, and be friendly competing against each other.
