In 2019, ESTRA officially launched TEEXMA for LIMS, becoming one of the first companies in its sector to achieve full digital laboratory management in China — a transformation later extended to its European R&D center as well.

Project Background 

ESTRA's laboratory went live with TEEXMA for LIMS, driven by two main factors.

•        Replacing the traditional paper-based workflow, which suffered from long-standing pain points such as low filing efficiency, difficult data retrieval, and complex day-to-day management.

•        Meeting external requirements: certification bodies and customer audit teams recommended a computerized system to ensure the laboratory's compliance with industry and CNAS standards.

Following a successful first phase in China, the system was extended to ESTRA's European operations and is now used globally. Today, the entire China team relies on TEEXMA for LIMS on a daily basis, covering the full business cycle — from test requests and approvals to scheduling, data upload, and report release.

Project Scope

The system now supports the laboratory's complete testing workflow — from the initial test request, through multi-level approval (approval manager, laboratory, verifier, and test technician), to test scheduling, execution, and raw data upload, and finally to result review and report release. ESTRA has also built a standardized test method library that can be flexibly applied by customer or product category.

Equipment management is fully digital, covering equipment registers, daily calibration records, maintenance schedules, and task planning — all managed online.
