Headquartered in France, the ARaymond Group is an international company specializing in the design and production of automotive fasteners and is one of the world's largest suppliers in this sector. Founded in 1865, the company operates in 25 countries, reinvests 6% of its turnover into R&D, and employs 6,800 people worldwide.

Project Background – from France, Germany, then China

The initial collaboration between ARaymond and BASSETTI originated from two raw materials laboratories in its French factories, which sought to establish a technical database to manage qualification and testing activities. With BASSETTI's assistance, ARaymond implemented the TEEXMA system, gradually rolling it out to other plants in France and Germany.

Building on the success of the European project, the ARaymond Group decided to extend this system to its Chinese factories. 

The BASSETTI China team conducted an in-depth needs assessment and customized the LIMS system according to their specific technical requirements. The project was successfully implemented in phases, accompanied by training, supporting the digitalization of quality management at the Chinese plant.

Scope of the project 

TEEXMA is used across multiple business areas within the company. 

• The Product Laboratory module handles 4 major test categories for sensitive products (tension/compression, sealing, aging, water/air pressure tests). 

• The Quality module covers supplier product certification and mold development testing, enabling the generation of PPAP files. 

• The Raw Materials module manages the global database for plastics, dyes, and elastomers. 

• At the same time, the teams are collaborating with German and French experts to design modules for managing metals, heat treatment, and surface treatment.

Configuration Flexibility

The new workflow module prompted the team to re-engineer processes, reducing data entry time and errors through customized forms.

Permission Management & Security

With 450 readers and 120 contributors, data update permissions are managed based on the raw material status, validated by experts through workflows. The permission management is sufficient. Regarding security, we follow BASSETTI's recommendations on access and backups.

In terms of LIMS, the solution has industrialized processes and established a product testing repository.

Future Plan

Integrate the local plastic lists from the remaining 20 factories into the global TEEXMA database, which will also trigger data cleansing in the SAP ERP system. Once the metals section is complete, a similar integration will be carried out for material grades and surface heat treatments. The LIMS functionality for product testing will be deployed by TEEXMA business experts across 5 global entities in the coming years.
